Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places

For the past several months, our duck "count" has remained at four. Methuselah still lives....frequently visited by a few pairs of mallards and a pair of wood ducks. We also had 3 surviving "ugly" Muscovy ducks. As of late, our female Muscovy has disappeared. We have not found any remains, so, we are not sure if she succombed to a predator, or if, by chance, she is sitting on a nest of eggs somewhere. It is obvious, though that she is gone. Our two remaining male Muscovies have been seen wandering all over the farm....I am guessing, in search of their gal.
Perhaps she just got tired of having to "serve" two masters and packed her bags.

- Muscovy Mystery
For the last several days, our two male Muscovy ducks (Daffy and Dorky) have been wandering further and further away from the pond in search of their mutual love interest. We were afraid that perhaps our lovely "Emily" had had enough courting and flown...

With the arrival of Mike and Becky, we launched into a series of projects. The first of which came with a trip to the local feed store. Since it was Eastertime, there was a display of ducklings and chicks at the feedstore. I left with 6 chicks....guaranteed...
