Minerva

Minerva May Honeycutt has had a makeover.
I know....
"finally."

She was really looking bedraggled after our long cold winter.
A new hat and hairdo,
along with some overalls and flannel blouse
(not to mention the necessary farmgirl apron)
and she is ready for a new season of tending garden.

She keeps the wild birds from stealing our strawberry crop...
and does a great job of it, too!
She's worth every cent we pay her.

My potato crop is flowering...
lovely, delicate lavender blossoms.

We should have a good crop this year from the looks of it.

If only I could keep the help from laying down on the job!

- Minerva, Master-weeder
Amazingly, since Minerva has taken up residence in the garden, it is virtually weed free (we won't mention that I spent the entire past week on my hands and knees). Regardless, the garden is the best it has ever looked at this point of the season....
