Tuiren Tuesday

I am admiring Mommy's nice clean floor, it is so clean I can see my reflection.

Mommy says I should keep my teeth this clean.  Many of you know I had a recent teeth cleaning. My breath smells so much better and it is so much EASIER for me to eat. I hear a lot of you complaining about having to have your teeth cleaned but for me it was the BEST thing ever. See they found a stick poking me in the jaw when they went to do the dental, and it was keeping me from opening my mouth very wide. So glad they got that out of there. Mommy said this is Dental Health Month so I thoughts I would encourage my friends to get their teeths cleaned if they needed it.

How do you know if you needs your teeths cleaned?

1. The Breath Test - if your breath smells nasty you probably need your teeth cleaned. Everybody was complaining about my bad breath, they weren't being MEAN it seriously stank because the stick had caused an abscess.

2. Lip Service
Once a week, with your dog facing you, lift his lips and examine his gums and teeth. The gums should be pink, not white or red, and should show no signs of swelling. His teeth should be clean, without any brownish tartar.

3. Signs of Oral Disease
The following are signs that your dog may have a problem in his mouth or gastrointestinal system and should be checked by a veterinarian:
I had the bad breath, excessive drooling and inflamed gums. Luckily the main thing wrong with me was the stick in the jaw once it was removed and my teeth cleaned I felt so much better.

We now has doggie toothpaste and toothbrushes. I likes having my teeth brushed. Fenris not so much, I sees a dental cleaning in his future. We also has some stuffs Mommy can put in our water for out teeths and the veterinarian  gave us a sample of special food for healthy teeth. (Hill's® Prescription Diet® t/d® Canine Dental Health) It was very tasty, we ate it as treats and we has barked at Mommy to get us some more.
