A Legacy of Literacy


The 36th annual Mississippi Reading Association conference is being held at the Beau Rivage through Wednesday. This year's theme is "A Legacy of Literacy: Building Futures One Child at a Time."Speakers with various backgrounds, including teachers and authors, will conduct sessions on teaching children to read using different methods, helping the struggling reader and the importance of teaching spelling, just to name a few topics.

One of the things I am most thankful for is how much my children love reading. I hope one day every child knows the joys of reading
