I'll be eating somewhere else

At the request of the mayor, an advisory committee will be formed to seek input on a proposed 2 percent tax on bar and restaurant tabs within city limits.

If this passes I'll be eating somewhere else. There are plenty of GOOD restaurants outside the city limits. And keep in mind if the Choctaws get their casiono they won't have to pay any taxes.

If the tax is approved, the money will be used to upgrade local parks, including the proposed new sports facility along Mississippi 57. The money also would go toward a new public safety complex for the police department.

Close to that Choctaw casino Mayor Connie Moran supports.
