Little Horse....Big Personality

I spent a good deal of yesterday afternoon in the front pasture with the equines.

I mowed...they ran.

I picked up manure...they were curious!

Tell me, don't Red's nostrils look unusually large for such a small horse?

They look more like ears!
"The better to smell you with, my dear!"

Ollie, especially, was quite curious about the gator and everything in it.
While you're at it, Ollie....maybe you might want to clean the gator.

For those of you who wonder about the size of The Littles...
here is a good frame of reference for you...

He stretched and stretched and used his lips like we use our opposable thumbs...

What was so interesting in the glove compartment?

Ritz crackers!

Obviously he needed to get a little closer, so he took up position on the other side of the gator
and this (video) is what ensued....

Ahhhhh...happy Ollie!

Lastly, a garden photo...this is what happens with almost daily rain...

We get a zinnia explosion...
and the tallest sunflowers!

And that makes me smile!!

- My Work Crew
I can never complain about a lack of available help for the farm chores.  It seems that most mornings I have more help than I need!  Finally, the snow has melted in the dry lot and the sawdust is once again visible.  This makes manure clean...

- Inseparable
Ordinarily when two beings are as close as my Littles are, I would say they are joined at the hip. However, in the case of Red and Ollie...they are most often joined at the lips! These two adore each other and spend a good deal of the day playing. They...

- Rainy Silliness
Yesterday afternoon I ran to town to do some Christmas shopping. I left the Littles in the front pasture for the afternoon, as the weather was cold and cloudy. Sometime while I was in town, however, it started to rain. This is what I came home to......"Hey...
