For us this is what Christmas should be about.
Joan is in hospice care with only a very short time to live but her main worry was what would happen to her beautiful cat Isis. Joan went to the hospital one day after getting sick and taking a bad fall, she never went back home again. Poor Isis was abruptly left alone, Joan arranged for a kind handyman to feed her and scoop her litter, but Isis was very scared living on her own. Joan continued to pay rent on her apartment so Isis would have a safe place to live until help for Isis could be found.
Thankfully after contacting numerous rescues who didn't have room for Isis, Dorian (who many of us know from her rescue work) heard about Joan and Isis and the rest as we say is history. Not only is Isis in a wonderful foster home, she has a forever home lined up. She is also able to visit Mom Joan, which has given both Joan and Isis so much happiness.
