Mancat Monday ~ Socks

I likes hanging out in the butterfly garden.

It is nice and cool in the shade.

Plus I am hard to see when I am in the shade, shade is good camouflage.

Mommy I am tired of having my picture made.

Safe at last, I bet she doesn't even know I am here.

Ha, she still hasn't found me.

Mommy tell them about the flowers in the tea cup.

The green & white leaves are Lamiastrum galeobdolon (aka Hermann's Pride), the yellow leaves are Lysimachia congestiflora (aka Walkabout Sunset), the green leaves are Golden Globe (it will have pretty yellow flowers and it did great last year and survived the winter and came back up), and I can't remember the name of the plant with red leaves.

Good help is hard to find, is it to much to ask that Mommy remember the names of the plants for us?

Guess I'll take a nap now.

- Thursday In The Garden

- Thursday In The Garden With Artemisia

- Flowers On Friday
The tall plant with pink leaves is a Hypoestes called Rose Splash, it has little bitty purple flowers. We can't remember the name of the yellow flowers but the red flowers are Lani Red Verbena. This is one of our Gardenias, we love the way they...

- Butterfly Garden Update
Youngest son and I saw this lovely tree when we were at the nursery to pick up some plants. It is a Bottlebrush Tree also known as Callistemon rigidus, native to Australia. The price tag was a bit steep for us, so I will try to find it in a smaller size....
