Socks loves this toy, so I though I would give it a paw. It is very entertaining.
Caren and Cody asked if I looked like Arty Mouse. Since I have never meet the lovely Arty Mouse I asked Mom and she said No, not really, but sort of.
Talk about a confusing answer. Mommy says me, Scylla and Arty Mouse are all Van Patterned Cats. The cat’s body should be chalk white (due to the presence of the piebald gene – also called the white spotting gene) with an inverted V pattern around the ears and forehead and a coloured tail. The colours for the inverted V pattern and the tail are red (orange) black, blue (dilute black), cream (dilute red?). The colours can be solid or tabby. The association allows some dark spots on the chalk white body but prefer an all-white, clean looking body.

Oh, Mommy said I should explain that just because I have a Van Patterned Coat doesn't mean I am a Turkish Van (Breed). Scylla might have some Turkish Van in her. The lady that rescued her said they thought her Mother was a full blooded Turkish Van that was lost during Katrina and was so badly frightened by the Hurricane and losing her people that she wouldn't let anyone near her. Her people had asked the rescue group to look for her. Charybdis' coat felt like cashmere. For those of you new to the blog Charybdis was Scylla's litter-mate.
Anyway me and Mouse are just Van Patterned. And Mouse was smaller than me and had a fluffy tail. Well Mouse wasn't actually smaller than I am now but Mommy says when I am full grown I will be bigger than Mouse. And that me and my tail will never be as fluffy.
I wish I looked more like Mouse, she sounds beautiful. And Mommy says we do have our spot on our side in common, but mine is smaller.
Yin on the other hand looks a lot like Squall n Baby.
Mommy says Arty Mouse would have loved playing with us.
I sure wish Scylla would stop hissing and growling at us and start playing with us.
Yin is afraid of her, but than Yin is a ninny she is afraid of Socks, Fenris & Tuiren too. ~Yang, reporting for ATCAD
