WinterWonderland....Nightmare for Some!

I woke up to the sound of Old Man Winter literally knocking on my kitchen window. This was the scene I was met with. The whole world around here is covered in ice. It is beautiful, but has caused a lot of problems for many people in the area. We lost several tree limbs, but were lucky enough to not have them land on anything important. Several communitites in the area are without power today thanks to this ice storm. During the night, as I drifted in and out of sleep, I was aware of the sound of ice and branches hitting the roof and sliding down to the ground below. That same ground is now covered with shards of ice that look as if someone cleaned out their ice machine and threw the cubes all over the patio and yard!

Looking across to the neighboring farm, you can see just how icy my world is today!

- A Moment
How many of us go about our tasks each day deep in thought and not truly aware of what is around us? We spend so much time in our own thoughts and not truly engaged in the world. And then at the end of the day, we don't remember much of anything striking...
