Spa Time


Today's post is short and sweet,
due to the fact that yesterday's chore list was very long.
I had many tasks to accomplish before today's farm visit by 28 pre-schoolers
and their parents.

I will definitely take pictures of this event...
it should be lots of fun.

So, for today I leave you with this...
chicken spa...


Where last week stood a giant pile of mulch,
these lovely hens now take their afternoon "dust" baths.
Our hens are very happy birds and it shows in their eggs.
Over the past few weeks as the grass has become green and the insects have returned,
we have seen a noticeable difference in our eggs.
The yolks are bright orange now and large and round.
As for the taste...you can't beat eggs from pastured chickens!
