The Sky Is Falling!

Weekend temps in the mid-30's brought a little melting to the farm.
When the snow starts to melt,
the build-up of ice and snow on the barn roof begins a slow descent over
the edge of the roof and onto the gutters.

to spare the gutters and also to keep avalanches from falling on the horses.

And when we are doing this, the horses steer clear!

Very, very scary!

I finished another knitting project that was a special order....

This is the Dragon Watcher's Hood with Viking horns.

- Winter Remains
We awoke to freshly fallen snow both Saturday and Sunday...and much colder temperatures. the perfect setting for a quiet, low-key weekend. Sunday morning, Hubb, Amanda and I did the chores together. It's amazing how quickly the morning work is...

- Raising The Roof
The windows have arrived. The roof is on....and just in time as we got another 3 inches of snow and sleet. At this point the contractors can work inside without exposure to snow and freezing rain. ...
