Weekend Chores


Farm work is a daily thing.
Even on weekends.

Additionally, though, on weekends we try to get "projects" completed...
especially when we have help from "the kids".

This weekend Amanda and Tim joined us for a bit of farm work.

The guys continued to fill my cedar garden boxes....
topsoil and compost....

after all Spring is just around the corner. (Isn't it?)

Amanda and I washed and packaged eggs for this week's sales.
That particular chore is an every Sunday occurrence.
Our layers are doing a great job of keeping up with demand this winter.





- A Return To Normal
We are in the midst of a high pressure area, and the weather is spectacular. We've entered the dry part of summer and everyone is finally making hay.(Which is a big relief to me as I have so many mouths to feed!) It had been sunny and hot every day...
