DES MOINES, Iowa - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton opened her quest for the White House Saturday stressing her potentially historic role as a woman - a tough woman at that, who will "deck" opponents, win the presidency and enact universal health care that eluded her as First Lady.
Does anyone else find her vote for me because I am a WOMAN spill pathetic and insulting? For some reason she seems to feel ENTITLED to be the first woman president. While I certainly hope we have a woman president one day, I will not vote for a candidate just because of their gender.
I still remember when the "mistake" on their taxes became the "hot topic" during her husband's presidency, her poor me I was pregnant and I just wasn't thinking clearly because of my pregnancy and I may have forgotten we had some money spill. I wonder how many other women could use being pregnant as an excuse for forgetting to include money on their taxes? I don't know about you, but I found the speech downright insulting, pregnant women are not mentally incompetent during their pregnancy. And Jeez what happens if Hillary gets elected President and becomes pregnant. Are we going to have to listen to one mistake after another being justified by "I am pregnant, I can't think clearly". I am sure she doesn't think it's an issue given her relationship with Bill and her age, but .......
And then there is the matter of universal healthcare. It's one of those topics that sound good, but may have a downside many Americans don't foresee. Talk to someone from Canada where they have universal healthcare and see what they think about it? Read some articles on the subject, don't just blindly buy the "sounds good" spill Hillary and her cronies are giving you.
I do hope the Democratic Party will wise up and see that Hillary is NOT the person for the job.
