Mississippi Gulf Coast Gem & Mineral Society Presents the 17th Magnolia State Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show
Saturday (November 11th) Sean and I attended the Gem & Mineral Show. It's an annual tradition for us. This year they had a fossil exhibit on loan from the Smithsonian, that we enjoyed viewing.
We also took the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping. Among our purchases a lapis egg,
an egg shaped black shale that contains fossilized orthoceras,
and a serpentine sphere from Peru.
Eagle's Nest Rock Shop, in Ocean Springs, is holding a Rockin' to Christmas Gem & Mineral Show December 15th through 17th, that we plan to attend.
