Friends & Flags
I really enjoyed A Broader View at Twice Boomed Wisteria. It brought back fond memories of the Friends & Flags project we took part in, which I briefly mentioned in a post at Home~Schoolers Rule - Special Projects. Unfortunately we took part in the project in my pre-blogging days and all the information was stored on the computer that crashed. It was a wonderful learning experience. Not only did we learn a lot about our own country making the packets to send abroad, but our new friends in Belarus and Israel taught us so much about their countries. I still have the packets they sent us, and display with pride the certificate acknowledging Alawine Homeschool's participation in the this wonderful multicultural learning project. Here is what is left in cyperspace.
