Good Bye Spot and Dick!

Along side this weekend's duckling happiness came a little bitter-sweetness.
You see, two of Myrtle's triplets left for their new homes.
One of the two was Spot, my personal favorite.
This little fellow is so comical and so, so friendly.

By the time Spot left the farm, he had learned to love Ritz crackers,
and would stand at the fence begging for them.

When handed a Ritz, he would take it in his mouth,
and very quickly, it would disappear, as
he moved the entire cracker to the back of his mouth...
just the edges sticking out the corners of his mouth.

Pure joy he experienced with the taste of Ritz on his palate...

Good bye, sweet Spot....
I hope your new life is filled with lots of love and Ritz crackers...
we will miss you here at Bee Haven Acres.
Spot is lucky to have been adopted along with his brother Dick,
so he gets to take family with him to his new home.

It's very hard to say goodbye to these little critters.
But next Spring will bring more babies to the farm.
Until then, we will heap lots of lovin' on the older goats.
After all, they don't stay young forever,
and truly, we have enjoyed the best times...from birth til now.
We have been blessed to have experienced a couple of months of
adorable cuddliness!
