Picture Perfect

Yesterday was one of those days.

Perfect.

I sat in the front pasture with the horses for a while yesterday afternoon,
just soaking in the beauty.

Temperatures in the seventies,
brilliant blue sky with storybook clouds.

A more perfect day could not exist.

Just Sammy and I sitting there....
horses in front of us...

Ollie behind us...

It was one of those days so filled with peace and beauty,
that I did no dreaming or scheming....
just soaked in the wonderfulness.

Late summer days, with autumn around the corner...

It's so important to stop and really soak in a day like this.
Breathing deeply....
filling all of your senses with it
before it is gone.

As I sat there, the horses and ponies eventually moved closer to me
and grazed within feet of me.
Each one stopping for a quick visit...

It seemed they appreciated the day as much as I did.

Peaceful.
Pastoral.
 Perfect.

- They Only Have Eyes For.....
A cold front has settled over our area, sending the last few days of Autumn warmthfar, far away. I love the dramatic cloudy skies of Autumn.Bundled up in a warm jacket, the cold winds are refreshing.Everyone, myself included, has more energy at this...

Around the farm, Sundays are all about family. It is the one day each week that we try to slow downand just enjoy the serenity that country life offers us. A peaceful start to the day, doing morning chores at sunrise.... This is one time of day that I...

Yesterday was a gift. After so many rainy days,we had blue skies, light breezes and plenty of sunshine. The pastures radiated green energy. It was the perfect afternoon for grazing. And so the horses spent some time consuming that green energy. They also...

- Together At Last!
I have been hesitant to put the "Bigs" and the "Littles"together in the same pasture to graze...fearing for the safety of my tiny horses. That is until the other day, when I took the Bigs to the upper pasture and heard the cries ofthe Littles as...
