A Walk On The Wild Side
Well, it is certainly amazing how many more pictures one gets
when the camera is actually turned on!
This week's photos from the area where we placed the deer feed block
had 162 photos.
Most, of course, were squirrels coming up to take a nibble.
But there were the usual ....raccoons...
fox....
opossums...
and lots of deer.
Funny, the deer were curious about the block,
but very wary.
Many of them walking all around, examining it...then leaving again.
A doe and her yearling...
I believe all of the nibbles were done by smaller critters.
A few visitors passed by the other camera down by the stream...
Raccoon....
cat of some sort....
deer....
lots of squirrels....(busiest animal in the woods!)
fox...
Each week, as I hike out to recover the camera cards...
I am filled with anticipation.
Funny... it's a simple pleasure that never grows old.
It's amazing how much activity goes on in the woods...
that we never see or hear!
