Chopstix & Rusty need help

Chopstix is back at Lauren's Zoo Special Adoptions. She has had a very sad life. First she was badly abused and then she was left at a high kill shelter, with both of her front legs broken and in an extremely emaciated state. Luckily for her Lauren's Zoo stepped in and rescued her. You can read about her first stay with them here. They found what they belived would be her forever home but when more medical issues came to light her "new family" returned her to Lauren's Zoo. "Because of the nature of Chopper's original injuries, she received a lot of orthopedic x-rays but never any chest x-rays. Why? Because at the time there was nothing wrong with her breathing, and we were already exposing her very tiny body to a lot of repeat radiation. Now, we have discovered that Chopstix suffered a diaphragmatic hernia from her original abuse. " Visit here to see how you can help this poor doggie.

This poor kitty needs a home. Because Rusty is FIV+ he can not stay at Cats Exclusive, as FIV+ cats are contagious to other cats. Generally, these animals are euthanized. Jessica M. Torrence is hoping someone will give Rusty a home. "He can safely be in a home with other FIV+ cats. He is healthy, and we have provided him every medical necessity that we provide all of our adoptable pets. He will not have an adoption fee. And we don't think this is his fault...we don't think this should be a death sentence." We don't think it's his fault either and we hopes someone can give him a home. If you can Please let Jessica M. Torrence know as soon as possible. Rusty is on borrowed time. If you are interested in adopting Rusty, contact Jessica M. Torrence at (954) 975-8349 ext. 301.
