So much is happening this week at the farm (weather permitting). The stone masons have been busily building chimneys. Here is the new chimney for the great room fireplace...
Our contractor has started the deck that will be on the front of the house...
This week the painter is going to clear-coat the interior logs. And, the siding crew will be finishing up the little guest cottage. Unfortunately there is a threat of rain and rain-snow mix during the week. We need the precipitation, but, oh, waiting is so hard!

Things are moving along....seemingly slowly, but, yet each week the house ends up looking a little more like we have envisioned it. This week the well was dug....unfortunately, they had to dig about 200 yards away from the house to find water that did...

Clear skies make for great construction days. Today was a big day...our contractor hired a crane to lift the main beams into place. Very soon we will start to see the logs of the second floor go up. This is a 10 by 10 solid pine post that helps to hold...
