Harvest Time
It's apple harvest time!
Can you believe it?
Well, you might believe it from where you are,
but... here...we have yet to even have a summer's worth of hot weather.
Still, I am not complaining.
I am not complaining...no, I am picking apples!!
And while they might not be the most beautiful apples,
they are quite tasty.... the best looking apple harvest we have ever had.
And making applesauce.
And...
Hubbs (who loves to tackle jobs with the appropriate tool) was in charge of
peeling apples...
I did the rest....
and voila! Pie!
Delicious fresh, homegrown apple pie in a flaky, all butter crust.
We are also harvesting carrots...
and giving the tops to....
Our hay is cut...keep your fingers crossed that we can get it to dry,
and get it baled before it gets rained upon.
