Lawnmower Contemplations
The photos and the prose in this post will go together
about as well as the two words in today's title.
(Google "lawnmower contemplations" and you will find nothing!)
You see, lawn mowing, as with most farm chores, is relatively mindless.
It is during these chores that my guinea brain is free to wander...
sometimes traipsing into the philosophical world.

Yesterday's voyage took me deep into the subject of happiness.
I thought I would share some musings with you.
It seems that so many are in a constant search for happiness...
and the next best thing, place or person that might provide it for them.
Happiness, I think, is something deep within...
a condition that we choose.
If happiness were dependent upon our circumstances...
(those tenuous states of life that are constantly subject to change)..
then happiness for all of us would be fleeting,
and for some, unattainable.
And yet... it isn't.
To me, happiness is not a "mood"...
although we can "feel" happy or sad at any given moment.
For me, true happiness is the realization that each and every day is a gift.
(All of us has a finite amount of days...and we never know how many we have.)
For me, the gift of a day brings with it the responsibility to make it the best day possible.
It is gratitude for that gift that inspires me.
And so I greet this morning with gratitude and vow to make it the best day possible.
I wish the same for you!!
Now, back to the business of mowing and dreaming and scheming!!
