Mandatory School Uniforms Abandoned
Back-to-school means new pencils and notebooks. For parents in the west Valley’s Dysart Unified School District, it also means shopping for school clothes that adhere to the district’s uniform dress code. Or it did until Wednesday. In a letter to parents posted on the district website and going home Thursday, superintendent Gail Pletnick said the district was abandoning a uniform dress code adopted in 1997.YES!!!!!! Now if we could just get rid of them in Jackson County, MS.
