Pet Food Recall ~ The Importance of Labeling

Christie Keith at Pet Connection Blog says

I still want clear, accurate, complete labeling of pet foods, with country of origin and actual manufacturer contact information included on the can. No more ranges, no more wiggle room, no more “min/max” analysis, no more super-secret “proprietary information” about where ingredients come from and who is actually making the food. What’s on the label should be what’s in the package, and vice versa.

I want clear labeling too. And I want the print to be big enough that 40 somethings with tired eyes can read it. I want to know what's in the food, who produces the food and how to contact them and where all the ingredients came from. I intend to buy products whose ingredients come from the U.S. or from countries that have the same strict standards we do. I will not buy ANY food that has ingredients from China in it, they have proven that profits are more important to them then the lives of the people and pets that consume their food.
