Shape Shifting

The most amazing thing has happened here on the farm.
It happened last night,
by starlight, only...
no moon was in sight.
The old owl hooted in the nearby trees.

Our little Stella was touched by a bit of
midnight farm enchantment.

She magically morphed

into

skunk!

A white stripe magically appeared down the middle of her back!

Let me look a little bit closer....
Silly Stella,
that's frost on your back!

Well, it has been a bit nippy here lately.
Winter is soon upon us.
We've had several nights of heavy frost.

Dear Stella, you have a nice warm house to sleep in!
Maybe you should try that
instead of attempting to change yourself into a skunk!

Peee - uuuu, did somebody say skunk?

- Ice Cream Makes Everything Better!
Ahhhh....the good with the bad.Is it possible that I am being tested right now?Actually, I know not.  Because for most part, the good always outweighs the bad around here. But, still....it is Tuesday morning (yesterday for you) and I am sitting...

- You'd Think They'd Learn!
It's been coming for some time now.Yes, Sammy is back in his "bad boy" collar again. On occasion, Sammy turns a deaf ear on us and stops listening. He stays out late...goodness knows where he goes, and usually he comes home wreaking. Friday night (before...

- One Honey Of A Day
Please excuse the brevity of this post.I am writing this Thursday night after 10:00 PM. I have just finished filling every jar that I saved over the past yearwith the most delicious honey we have ever harvested. For four hours we cut the caps off of...

- Oakley Le Pew
Here is the picture of innocence...exhaustion, enervation, fatigue, ....sleeping there....neat and clean in their own beds. What could be sweeter than two boys, peacefully slumbering? Ah, if only what led up to this picture was half as peaceful! Well,...
