Farewell Aoise
We were just getting to know Aoise. Her name was Irish and you pronounce it 'ee-sher'. It took us ever so long to remember how to pronounce her name correctly and we still aren't sure we got is purrfectly right. Mommy fell for her the first time we visited her blog, cause she looked a bit like Whiskers. The Irish name cinched it. Mommy's Great-Grandpa came from Ireland and she is interested in Irish stuff, especially names. So it is with heavy hearts we bid sweet Aoise farewell.
We are sharing this poem with you in Aoise's memory.
Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there... I did not die...
