It's One Day Until the Big Day!

It's Friday and the big day is upon us.
Today we will be doing last minute coiffing in preparation for tomorrow's wedding.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for these two to get married.
I will have pictures to share with you on Monday.

In keeping with the theme of readying ourselves for the wedding,
I decided that Daphne and Chloe also needed a haircut yesterday.

These two gals are so well behaved.

They stood still while I shaved the last of their winter coats off.

No halters, no ties needed.
They just stood still and let me work.

Here they are...ready for the summer heat!
There's nothing better than a cooperative donkey!!

OK....I'm off to get ready for the weekend wedding festivities.
Hope you have a great weekend, also.
I'll be back Monday with a little wedding montage.

- For Whom The Bell Tolls
How do you get seven equines to come back in from the pasture(their very favorite place)for their dinner? Why, you ring the dinner bell of course! We found this out quite by accident last Sunday as we were talking to our friendswho are going to help...

- The Long Walk Home
It's the end of a busy day...end of a busy week.I've planted and planted, watered and watered, weeded and weeded...and done everything else that needs to be done each week. I look around the farm and am surrounded by the fruits of my labor. Everything...

- Haircut, Anyone?
With the planting finished,I finally had time to tackle a few more items on my Spring chore list. Yesterday was "haircut" day. With the arrival of warmer weather, clipping the Littles and the donkeys is imperative. These four equines seem to hold on to...

- Is It Friday Yet?
Ok...this has been quite a week... a week I am not ready to repeat! First...Monday, I fell up the basement stairs and face-planted on a wooden step. What I hoped would be an injury that would make me look more like Angelina Joli (lips) ended up just...
