What I Love About Country Life (In 100 Words or Less)

For this subject, I needed to have limits set. I could write a book about what it is I love about life in the country. However, for today's post I will give you just a few examples. I could go on and on about the sunrises, the scenery, the flora and fauna, the sunsets, the fun things that happen on the farm, the peace and quiet, and so much more.

Instead of writing about the obvious, I will share a few of my experiences. Like....the fact that no matter where I go, I never come in contact with road rage, or rudeness, or any of the usual annoyances that we all deal with in city life. No, I travel roads that have no traffic...besides an occasional buggy. I go to a grocery store where everyone knows your name. I am treated to wonderful pieces of pie when my sweet neighbor bakes.

This is a place where people stop to chat....making you feel like a conversation with you is more important than any other thing at that moment. Should a problem arise, there is always someone around who is willing to lend a hand.

Perhaps the best example is this. On Monday I posted the story about my harrowing day, ending with my broken gator windshield. Well it just so happens that the owner of our favorite farm equipment store, Tama from Valley Ag and Turf, occasionally visits my blog. After reading Monday's post, she went ahead and ordered a new windshield for me....without me even having to call and ask (which I had intended to do). Thanks so much Tama!!

It is these kind acts that confirm my belief that there is no better place to live than right here in the country!! ( Yes, I know, that was more than 100 words!)

Living on a farm and raising critters has helped me learn to take the bad right along with the good. Afterall, how can we wake up every morning expecting each day to be sunny. A certain amount of cloudy, rainy weather must pass through in order to keep...
